Motivation and deals
One of the things most people underestimate while doing deals is the motivation of the person they are dealing with. For some people money is the main motivation, for others it is other things. Big companies have a lot of money to spend harassing their rivals or smaller companies, but their own employees lack the motivation to do anything innovative. For example, I know a large internet company is monitoring smaller companies , but the smaller companies can also take suitable countermeasures.
