Buying receipt printers
Till a few decades ago, most retailers gave buyers handwritten receipts but today most retailers and restaurants provide printed receipts to their customers. Not only do the customers get proof of the transaction which they use later for accounting purposes, the retailer can also easily keep track of sales. The two most widely used types of receipt printers are the thermal receipt printer and impact POS printer. A thermal receipt printer is cheap, fast and speedy and is suitable for most retail applications. However, the receipt may fade after some time and may not work optimally at higher temperatures. Impact printers are more expensive, but can work well under harsh conditions including those in restaurants.
